- $175,200 Salary Package Inc Super The Senior Software Developer – Linux is responsible for developing software solutions across the project lifecycle including design, development, testing and deployment tasks while working in a cross-functional team. Also, a key factor of this position is to evaluate current frameworks and design and implement robust solutions to any gaps and technical debt found. This role reports to the Software Development Manager. Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, code comments and explicit code
- Develops software by following specifications or user stories and collaborates with project team to clarify if required
- Develops software for healthcare, medical devices and other industries
- Works as part of a team cross-functional team dealing with other developers working in same repository/project, as well as analysts, infrastructure, designers, etc.
- Works with support staff in tracing issues and designing and implementing robust solutions with the goal of continuous improvement
- Create and maintain documentation and code standards to ensure the project is accessible to new developers
- Contribute ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement across all aspects of the role or any other issues affecting themselves or the team
- Communicating software principles with non-technical customers or team members using a variety of methods (e.g. whiteboard sketches, analogies, etc.)
- Identifies and self-drives new opportunities for learning or training to keep up with evolving technology, processes, etc.
- Participates positively in an agile development culture and process, with ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement
- Provides advice, ideas and suggestions on support and issue investigations to assist with full- stack contributing cause analysis
