Pharmacist (Aluva)

Job Title: Pharmacist Organization: Apollo Pharmacy Role Overview Apollo Pharmacy is looking for a licensed Pharmacist who will ensure protected, accurate, and compliant dispensing of medications while delivering excellent customer care. This role is critical in maintaining operational standards and providing reliable healthcare guidance to patients. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications in line with safety protocols
- Review and validate prescriptions for correct dosage, potential drug interactions, and contraindications
- Counsel customers on medication usage, side effects, storage, and general health practices
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., Drugs & Cosmetics Act, Pharmacy Act)
- Maintain precise records, billing processes, and documentation
- Manage inventory, including stock replenishment, storage, and expiry monitoring
- Coordinate with doctors and healthcare professionals for prescription clarifications when required
- Address customer queries with professionalism, empathy, and a solution-oriented approach
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within the pharmacy
- Support health initiatives such as medical camps, screenings, and vaccination drives Qualifications & Experience
- B.Pharm or D.Pharm from a recognized institution
- Valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council
- 0–5 years of experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
- Prior experience in organized retail pharmacy is an advantage Core Skills
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals and healthcare products
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Customer-centric mindset
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with billing systems
