Electrical Engineer (Ambattur)

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer with knowledge in PLC Programming and industrial automation systems. The candidate will be responsible for electrical system execution, PLC programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintenance activities for industrial and project sites. Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical & Automation
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for industrial automation systems.
- Configure and maintain PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Perform electrical wiring inspections, I/O checking, and loop testing.
- Handle installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and automation systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical control panels, motors, drives, sensors, and field instruments.
- Coordinate with mechanical and instrumentation teams during project execution. Project Execution
- Supervise electrical installation activities at site.
- Ensure execution activities are completed as per drawings, standards, and project schedule.
- Support FAT/SAT, startup, and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors for smooth execution. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Attend breakdowns and resolve automation/electrical issues with minimum downtime.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Maintain PLC backups and update technical documentation. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily progress reports and commissioning reports.
- Maintain electrical drawings, as-built documents, and testing records.
- Ensure all project and maintenance documentation is updated properly. Safety & Compliance
- Follow electrical safety procedures and company HSE guidelines.
- Ensure safe work practices during installation and commissioning activities.
- Participate in safety meetings and audits. Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Certification or training in PLC Programming will be an added advantage. Experience
- 2–8 years of experience in electrical maintenance, project execution, or industrial automation.
- Experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting in industrial/project environments preferred. Required Technical Skills
- Knowledge of PLC platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi Electric, or Schneider Electric.
- Familiarity with HMI and SCADA systems.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP.
- Understanding of electrical panels, VFDs, motors, and instrumentation systems.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and control schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Preferred Skills
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently at project sites.
- Willingness to travel for site activities if required.
