Logistics Manager, Thane

Job Description: The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all logistics, transportation, dispatch, warehouse, and material movement activities of the company. The role ensures timely delivery of materials to project sites, proper inventory management, vendor coordination, and smooth supply chain operations while maintaining cost efficiency and operational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end logistics operations including transportation, dispatch, and delivery scheduling.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, project, and site teams for timely material movement.
- Ensure on-time delivery of materials to project sites as per project schedules.
- Monitor inward and outward material movement and maintain proper records.
- Coordinate with transport vendors and negotiate transportation rates.
- Track shipments and update internal teams regarding delivery status.
- Handle courier, parcel, and local transport arrangements.
- Ensure proper packing, loading, unloading, and handling of materials.
- Maintain inventory coordination with warehouse/store teams.
- Prepare logistics MIS reports, dispatch records, and transporter bills.
- Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Resolve delivery delays, transportation issues, and material shortages.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and statutory transportation requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation such as:
- E-way bills
- Delivery challans
- LR copies
- Gate passes
- Transport invoices
- Coordinate with clients and site teams for delivery scheduling and material acknowledgments.
- Support emergency and urgent dispatch requirements whenever required. Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Valuable coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple dispatches and deliveries simultaneously.
- Knowledge of inventory and warehouse coordination.
- Basic understanding of transportation documentation and compliance.
- Good problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting. Educational Qualification:
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Operations preferred. Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, warehouse, or supply chain management.
- Experience in handling project-based logistics operations preferred. Preferred Industry Experience:
