Job Summary The Engineer / Fitter – Plant Maintenance (Press) is responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and smooth operation of press machines to ensure minimum downtime and maximum production efficiency. Roles & Responsibilities Press Machine Maintenance Perform preventive maintenance of press machines Carry out breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting Maintain mechanical components of press machines Ensure smooth operation of press shop equipment Monitor machine condition and performance Production Support Provide maintenance support during production Attend machine breakdowns and resolve issues quickly Support production team for machine setup and changeover Minimize downtime and improve machine availability Troubleshooting & Repairs Identify mechanical issues in press machines Perform root cause analysis for machine failures Repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems Replace worn-out machine parts Preventive Maintenance Follow preventive maintenance schedule Maintain PM checklist and maintenance records Monitor machine health and performance Plan spare parts availability Equipment Knowledge Power Press Machines Hydraulic Press Pneumatic Press Mechanical Press Sheet Metal Press Machines Tools & Measuring Instruments Vernier Caliper Dial Gauge Feeler Gauge Micrometer Basic Mechanical Tools Documentation Maintain maintenance logs Prepare breakdown reports Update preventive maintenance records Track spare parts consumption Qualification ITI Fitter / Diploma Mechanical / BE Mechanical 2–6 years experience in press shop maintenance Preferred Industry Experience Automotive Manufacturing Sheet Metal Industry Press Shop Manufacturing Engineering Manufacturing Auto Component Industry Required Skills Press Machine Maintenance Mechanical Troubleshooting Preventive Maintenance Breakdown Maintenance Hydraulic & Pneumatic Knowledge Production Support.
