Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and result oriented Production Manager from the textile or garment manufacturing industry to oversee daily production operations, improve productivity, maintain quality standards, and ensure timely delivery of products. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of garment production processes, manpower handling, production planning, and factory coordination. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.
- Ensure smooth functioning of stitching, cutting, finishing, packing, and dispatch operations.
- Monitor production efficiency, line balancing, and productivity improvement activities.
- Coordinate with merchandising, quality, maintenance, warehouse, and planning teams for seamless operations.
- Ensure on time production while maintaining quality standards and minimizing rejections.
- Handle manpower allocation, worker productivity, and shift management effectively.
- Analyze production reports and prepare MIS reports for management review.
- Monitor machine utilization and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
- Reduce production delays, wastage, and operational costs through process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with factory safety standards, SOPs, and company policies.
- Train and guide supervisors and line in charges to improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain proper production documentation and reporting systems.
- Handle production challenges and implement corrective actions immediately. Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of textile or garment manufacturing processes.
- Experience in production planning and production control.
- Good understanding of stitching operations, finishing, and quality standards.
- Knowledge of industrial engineering concepts, line balancing, and productivity tracking.
- Ability to manage large teams and factory floor operations.
- Strong leadership and problem solving skills.
- Valuable communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Textile Engineering, Garment Manufacturing, Fashion Technology, or related field.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in textile or garment production management.
- Experience in handling factory production operations is mandatory. Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in women’s innerwear, apparel, hosiery, or garment manufacturing preferred.
- Strong decision making and team management skills.
- Candidate with exposure to lean manufacturing or productivity improvement initiatives will be an added advantage. What We Offer
