- OT Engineer ???? Location: Noida ????Experience: 2–5 Years ????Key Responsibilities OT Systems & Shopfloor Integration
- Work on shopfloor-level automation and integration activities involving PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, sensors, meters, drives, and industrial equipment.
- Understand existing machine architecture, control systems, and automation layouts at client sites.
- Support data extraction from PLCs, SCADA systems, historians, and industrial databases.
- Assist in connecting isolated machines and control systems to centralized digital platforms.
- Coordinate with plant maintenance, electrical, instrumentation, and IT teams for smooth implementation. PLC, SCADA & HMI
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using ladder logic and related programming methods.
- Work with PLC systems from vendors such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Omron, Delta, or equivalent.
- Configure and troubleshoot SCADA and HMI systems for visualization, alarms, trends, and operational control.
- Support tag mapping, signal validation, I/O verification, and communication testing.
- Assist in understanding machine logic and translating it into usable operational data points. Industrial Communication & Networking
- Work with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, OPC UA, OPC DA, Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, MQTT, and similar protocols.
- Understand and troubleshoot computer networking concepts including TCP, UDP, IP addressing, ports, subnetting, routing, firewalls, and VLANs.
- Support remote connectivity tools and protocols such as RDP, VNC, VPN, and secure remote access systems.
- Diagnose communication failures between PLCs, SCADA, edge devices, servers, and cloud systems.
- Support OT network documentation, device mapping, and connectivity audits. OT/IT Data Integration
- Collaborate with data engineering and software teams to enable real-time and historical data pipelines.
- Support tag identification, data mapping, signal naming, timestamp validation, and data quality checks.
- Assist in setting up edge gateways, industrial PCs, protocol converters, and middleware for data acquisition.
- Work with databases, APIs, and data platforms where required for OT data movement.
- Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable data flow from shopfloor systems to enterprise applications. Site Execution & Troubleshooting
- Visit manufacturing plants for system study, commissioning, troubleshooting, and implementation support.
- Conduct machine connectivity assessments and identify gaps in automation readiness.
- Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, network layouts, tag lists, and integration notes.
- Support FAT, SAT, UAT, and go-live activities for industrial digitization projects.
- Provide technical support during deployment and post-deployment stabilization. ✅Skills
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming and ladder logic.
- Knowledge of SCADA and HMI development/configuration.
- Understanding of industrial automation systems, control panels, sensors, actuators, VFDs, meters, and drives.
- Strong knowledge of computer networks: TCP/IP, UDP, ports, subnetting, routing, firewalls, RDP, VNC, VPN.
- Experience with industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA/DA, Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, MQTT.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, control logic, P&IDs;, I/O lists, and automation architecture diagrams.
- Basic understanding of databases, APIs, servers, and data acquisition systems.
- Good troubleshooting skills for machine communication, network connectivity, and signal validation issues.
- Ability to work on-site in manufacturing plants and coordinate with cross-functional teams. ????️ Positive to have
- Experience with industrial data historians, edge gateways, or IoT platforms.
- Exposure to Node-RED, Kepware, Ignition, WinCC, Wonderware, FactoryTalk, or similar tools.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python, SQL.
- Understanding of OT cybersecurity practices, network segmentation, and secure remote access.
- Experience with cloud or data platforms such as AWS, Azure, Databricks, or data lakes.
