Production In-Charge Industry: Automotive Component Manufacturing Location: Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) Experience Required: 5+ Years Department: Production / Operations Role Type: Senior-Level Leadership Role Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production In-Charge to lead manufacturing operations for our automotive component manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have solid exposure to heat treatment operations, industrial furnace management, production planning, manpower handling, and process optimization in an automotive manufacturing environment. The role requires driving production efficiency, quality compliance, cost control, and on-time delivery while ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards. Key Responsibilities: Production Operations
- Lead day-to-day production activities to achieve production targets and delivery schedules.
- Ensure smooth operation of manufacturing lines, heat treatment processes, and furnace operations.
- Monitor productivity, machine utilization, cycle time, and overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
- Coordinate with planning, maintenance, quality, and dispatch teams for seamless operations. Heat Treatment & Furnace Management:
- Supervise heat treatment operations and ensure process adherence as per defined parameters.
- Monitor furnace loading patterns, temperature cycles, soaking time, and process consistency.
- Ensure optimum furnace utilization, preventive maintenance coordination, and downtime reduction.
- Maintain process discipline and compliance with metallurgical and customer requirements. Process Improvement & Productivity:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for productivity enhancement and cost reduction.
- Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and process optimization practices.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve throughput. Team Management:
- Lead and manage production supervisors, operators, and shop-floor manpower.
- Ensure proper shift planning, manpower allocation, and performance monitoring.
- Train teams on process discipline, safety, and operational best practices. Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and plant operational guidelines.
- Maintain discipline in shop-floor operations and ensure statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with EHS teams for protected furnace and heat treatment operations. Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare daily production reports, downtime analysis, rejection reports, and efficiency tracking.
- Monitor raw material consumption, production losses, and wastage control.
- Support management with MIS reports and operational planning inputs. Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes
- Hands-on experience in heat treatment and industrial furnace operations
- Exposure to production planning and process control
- Strong leadership and manpower management skills
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and productivity improvement tools
- Problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Good communication and interdepartmental coordination skills Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in automotive component manufacturing is mandatory
- Exposure to heat treatment shop operations preferred Pay: ₹750,000.00
