Description
Role Overview We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Site Incharge Ash Disposal to manage end-to-end ash/fly ash transportation and disposal operations at project sites. The candidate should have strong expertise in transportation vendor management, trip management, fleet operations, and driver handling, particularly in bulk material movement using open-body tippers/trippers. The ideal candidate should have hands-on operational experience in thermal power plants, cement plants, road construction projects, or large-scale logistics operations involving ash disposal and transportation. Key Responsibilities Operations Management
- Manage daily ash/fly ash disposal and transportation activities from plant to designated disposal/utilization locations.
- Ensure uninterrupted fleet movement and achievement of daily dispatch targets.
- Monitor loading, unloading, trip cycles, turnaround time, and route efficiency.
- Coordinate with plant operations, site teams, transporters, and customers for smooth execution. Vendor & Fleet Management
- Identify, onboard, and manage transportation vendors and fleet operators.
- Negotiate transportation rates, contracts, and operational terms with vendors.
- Ensure optimum fleet utilization and vehicle availability.
- Handle open-body tipper/tripper operations effectively. Driver Management
- Supervise driver deployment, attendance, discipline, and productivity.
- Resolve driver-related operational issues and ensure compliance with safety norms.
- Monitor driver behavior, trip completion, and fuel efficiency. Trip & Logistics Control
- Track vehicle movement, trip closure, dispatch planning, and documentation.
- Maintain MIS reports related to trips, fleet utilization, transportation cost, and vendor performance.
- Coordinate for breakdown handling, route planning, and emergency support. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to environmental, statutory, and safety guidelines related to ash disposal.
- Maintain operational records and support audits/compliance requirements.
- Enforce PPE and safe transportation practices at site. Desired Candidate Profile
- 815 years of relevant experience in ash disposal, fly ash transportation, bulk logistics, or fleet operations.
- Experience working with thermal power plants, cement industries, infrastructure projects, or large transportation contractors.
- Strong exposure to transportation vendor development and rate negotiations.
- Hands-on experience in managing open-body tippers/trippers and driver operations.
- Good understanding of trip management, dispatch planning, and logistics coordination.
- Ability to handle site operations independently in challenging environments.
- Robust communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Educational Qualification
- Graduate / Diploma in any discipline preferred.
- Additional certifications in logistics, fleet management, or operations will be an advantage. Key Skills
