Engineering Head ( Chemical) (West Bengal)

Role & responsibilities: --- The Head of Engineering is responsible for leading the engineering, maintenance, utilities, capital projects, and process optimization functions for a specialty chemical manufacturing business. This role ensures secure, reliable, and cost-effective plant operations while driving capacity expansion, process improvements, digitalization, and sustainability initiatives. The incumbent will play a strategic role in enhancing operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting new product commercialization and technology scale-up. Responsibilities: ---
- Develop and implement the engineering strategy aligned with business growth and operational goals.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams covering mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, and process engineering.
- Build engineering capabilities and succession plans.
- Establish KPIs for reliability, asset utilization, maintenance costs, and project delivery.
- Ensure high equipment availability and reliability across all production units.
- Drive preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
- Optimize maintenance planning and shutdown management.
- Lead feasibility studies, budgeting, engineering design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
- Manage brownfield and greenfield expansion projects.
- Ensure engineering compliance with statutory and company safety standards. Preferred candidate profile ** B Tech
