Senior Engineer / Engineer Plumbing And Firefighting West Bengal

Role & responsibilities Apply knowledge of local bye-laws, Indian standards (NBC, IS), and international codes (ASHRAE, ISHRAE) in HVAC system design. Review architectural drawings to ensure HVAC layouts comply with applicable codes and design intent. Coordinate with structural, interior, and landscape drawings to validate HVAC routing, equipment placement, and service access. Perform HVAC system calculations including heat load, ventilation, pump head (primary/secondary), and chiller plant sizing (air-cooled/water-cooled). Prepare and modify HVAC drawings using AutoCAD; coordinate with other disciplines for clash-free design. Interpret design briefs and specifications; prepare material take-off sheets and BOQs. Communicate effectively with internal teams, consultants, and vendors. Understand and specify HVAC materials and equipment based on project requirements. Prepare technical inputs for sanction drawings in line with MOEF, PCB, and other statutory bodies. Develop HVAC design questionnaires aligned with architectural and interior layouts. (Preferred) Experience or familiarity with Revit MEP for BIM-based coordination. Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting teams, especially for commercial and healthcare projects.
