Lab Technician West Bengal

Responsibilities

Incoming Material Testing

Perform consignment-wise sample testing of all incoming raw materials.

Conduct necessary physical tests as per defined standards and specifications.

Identify defects or deviations and report non-conforming materials

Test Report Generation

Prepare consignment-wise physical test reports with accurate observations and results.

Share reports with internal stakeholders for quality approval.

Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping for traceability

Footwear Testing

Conduct full physical testing of footwear samples against standard requirements.

Evaluate parameters such as strength, durability, bonding, flexibility, and finish.

Ensure compliance with applicable quality and safety standards

Quality Compliance Coordination

Ensure all testing activities adhere to established quality procedures and protocols.

Coordinate with QA, Production, and Procurement teams for material and product validation

Support in maintaining lab equipment and ensuring proper usage

Key Requirements:

ITI / Diploma in Footwear Technology, Leather Technology, or related field

1 3 years of experience in lab testing / quality testing, preferably in footwear or manufacturing

Knowledge of physical testing methods for materials and footwear

Robust attention to detail and accuracy

Basic documentation and reporting skills

Ability to handle multiple test samples and timelines
