System Administrator (West Bengal)

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled System Administrator to manage and support the organizations IT infrastructure, servers, network services, virtualization platforms, and endpoint systems. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring system availability, security, performance, and smooth day-to-day IT operations across the organization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Windows/Linux administration, networking, virtualization, backup solutions, endpoint management, and troubleshooting enterprise IT environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for this role. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, desktops, and IT infrastructure.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and user access management.
• Monitor and troubleshoot server, network, hardware, and application-related issues.
• Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, antivirus, and endpoint security solutions.
• Configure and support LAN/WAN, VLAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and firewall environments.
• Manage Microsoft 365, email systems, and endpoint management tools.
• Ensure regular patching, system updates, monitoring, and security compliance.
• Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and third-party support teams for issue resolution.
• Maintain IT documentation, asset inventory, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide L1/L2/L3 technical support and ensure timely issue resolution within SLA.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and IT projects. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Key Skills
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems (Desktop & Server Administration).
• Experience in Windows Server administration including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, WSUS, IIS, and File/Print Services.
• Good understanding of Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) including package management, permissions, services, and troubleshooting.
• Linux shell scripting / Bash / PowerShell scripting knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Sound understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, supernetting, routing, switching, NAT, VPN, DNS, and DHCP.
• Hands-on troubleshooting skills for LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewall, VPN, and enterprise network environments.
• Good knowledge of dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, RIP, and EIGRP.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in desktop, server, and enterprise hardware environments.
• Experience with enterprise virtualization platforms such as VMware VMware vSphere/ESXi, Proxmox, Hyper-V, and RHEV/RHEVM.
• Understanding of SAN/NAS storage environments, RAID concepts, backup infrastructure, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Hands-on experience with backup and replication tools such as Veeam, Commvault, Veritas, or similar solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud and hybrid infrastructure platforms including Microsoft Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience in endpoint management tools such as Intune, SCCM, Autopilot, and MDM solutions.
• Knowledge of security best practices including BitLocker, endpoint protection, antivirus management, conditional access, MFA, and system hardening.
• Experience in monitoring and alerting tools such as PRTG, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Nagios, or Splunk.
• Hands-on experience with database administration basics including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar database platforms.
• Understanding of IT asset management, patch management, backup verification, and audit compliance processes.
• Experience working with ticketing and ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, ManageEngine, or similar tools.
• Good documentation skills including SOP creation, infrastructure diagrams, and knowledge base management.
• Ability to support multi-site enterprise environments and coordinate with OEMs, ISPs, and vendors.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and incident management skills. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Minimum Qualifications
• Any Graduate and/or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Basic certification or training in Hardware, Networking, or System Administration.
• Good understanding of Windows/Linux Operating Systems and Networking fundamentals.
• Knowledge of desktop hardware, troubleshooting, and IT infrastructure support.
• A+ and/or N+ certification will be an added advantage. Preferred Qualifications
• BCA, B.Sc. IT, MCA, or higher qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as:
• Cisco Systems CCNA
• Red Hat RHCSA / RHCE
• VMware VMware Certifications
• Microsoft Microsoft Azure / Windows Server Certifications
• Hands-on experience in virtualization, networking, cloud platforms, or enterprise IT infrastructure will be preferred.
