Area Sales Manager Masterbatch (B2B Sales) Location: Kolkata Experience: 6+ Years Salary: 50,000 -60,000 per month (6 -7.2 LPA) Industry: Plastic / Polymer / Masterbatch Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive sales and business development in the masterbatch and polymer industry. The candidate will be responsible for developing strategic B2B relationships, expanding market presence, and ensuring strong financial discipline through effective collections and credit management. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business targets in the assigned region
- Identify and build long-term relationships with B2B clients in plastics manufacturing, raffia, non-woven, injection moulding, and packaging industries
- Explore new business opportunities by analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through continuous engagement and support
- Monitor client credibility and financial stability through regular market feedback
- Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure timely collections while maintaining strong client relationships
- Track financial risks and minimize exposure through proactive client assessment
- Coordinate with internal teams (production & logistics) for smooth order execution and timely delivery
- Represent the company at exhibitions, trade fairs, and client meetings Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Polymer Science or related field
- 6+ years of experience in sales/business development in the polymer or masterbatch industry
- Strong technical knowledge of engineering polymers and specialty polymers
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets
- Strong analytical skills with market research capabilities
