About the Role: We are seeking a hands-on AutoCAD & SolidWorks Engineer with proven, real-world experience in industrial mechanical and electrical drawings. This role goes beyond executing standard software commands. The selected professional must be able to independently measure physical components, think like an engineer, and reliably deliver production-ready drawings on time, from day one. This is a strictly on-site position. Core Responsibilities: ● Independently prepare accurate 2D & 3D drawings using both AutoCAD and SolidWorks. ● Create General Arrangement (G.A.) drawings, part drawings, assembly drawings, sectional views, cross-sections, elevations, and projections. ● Build SolidWorks part and assembly models independently and generate drawings directly from 3D models. ● Physically measure electromechanical and industrial spares including motor components (DE & NDE shields), shafts, pulleys, couplings, gears, electrical insulators, and other mechanical spare parts. ● Use precision instruments — Vernier Calipers, Micrometers — to convert physical measurements and hand sketches into fully dimensioned engineering drawings. ● Ensure compliance with tolerances, fits, scales (mm), and industrial manufacturing standards. ● Deliver drawings accurately and within agreed timelines, as punctual submission is a core expectation. ● Revise drawings based on client feedback, site observations, and engineering changes. Mandatory Skills ● Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D & 3D). ● Ability to independently create part and assembly models in SolidWorks. ● Experience generating engineering drawings directly from 3D models. ● Proven hands-on experience taking accurate physical measurements of real industrial components. ● Clear understanding of dimensions, tolerances & fits, sectional views & projections, scales/units (mm), and industrial drawing standards. ● Minimum 2 years of hands-on, relevant industry experience — no exceptions. ● Ability to work fully independently without supervision or in-role training. ● Strict punctuality regarding daily arrival and meeting all drawing submission deadlines. ● Professional demeanor and formal office attire required. Preferred Qualifications ● ITI / Diploma / BE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. ● Prior experience in fabrication or manufacturing drawings. ● Background in steel plants, power sector, or heavy industries preferred.
