We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Trainer to join our Thermal Power division at Tiroda, Maharashtra. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our workforce is equipped with the latest knowledge, skills, and best practices to maintain operational excellence and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of thermal power plant operations and a passion for imparting technical knowledge through innovative training methodologies. Key Responsibilities of Role The Technical Trainer will play a critical role in bridging the gap between evolving technologies and the operational workforce. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs tailored specifically for thermal power plant operations, maintenance, safety protocols, and new technology integrations.
- Conducting needs analysis to identify knowledge gaps and skill deficiencies across various departments and creating customized training solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Collaborating closely with engineering, operations, and safety teams to ensure training content reflects current operational practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Facilitating hands-on workshops, classroom training, e-learning modules, and on-the-job coaching sessions to engage diverse learner profiles effectively.
- Assessing training effectiveness through evaluations, feedback collection, and performance metrics to continuously enhance learning interventions.
- Maintaining and updating training materials, manuals, and technical documentation to incorporate the latest best practices and technological advancements in the thermal power sector.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies related to workforce competency and certification requirements.
- Acting as a subject matter expert and advisor for the organization’s learning and development initiatives focused on thermal power plant operations.
- Driving a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence by embedding these values into all training programs.
- Mentoring junior trainers and helping develop the training team’s capabilities to ensure consistent quality and delivery standards.
- Coordinating with external vendors and technology providers for specialized training sessions when needed.
- Supporting the implementation of digital learning platforms and tools to modernize the training experience and improve accessibility.
- Championing diversity and inclusion by creating an inclusive learning workplace that respects and promotes varied perspectives and experiences.
- Engaging with cross-functional teams to support organizational change management and upskilling initiatives aligned with Adani’s strategic objectives.
- Reporting on training activities, progress, and impact to senior management to aid decision-making and strategic planning. Technical Competencies In-depth knowledge of thermal power plant technology, including boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems,Proficiency in instructional design and modern training delivery techniques such as e-learning, simulation-based training, and blended learning,Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training tools. ,Strong command over technical documentation, report generation, and presentation skills,Understanding of safety standards, operational procedures, and regulatory frameworks applicable to thermal power plants,Expertise in Thermal Power Plant Operations and Maintenance training Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or a related technical discipline is mandatory.
- A Master’s degree or higher qualification in Engineering, HR Development, or a related field will be considered an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or a related technical discipline is mandatory.
- A Master’s degree or higher qualification in Engineering, HR Development, or a related field will be considered an advantage. Certification Required
- Certified Technical Trainer or equivalent qualified training qualification.
