Purchase Manager – Iron Ore Beneficiation Plant Location: Sihora, Madhya Pradesh Industry: Iron Ore Beneficiation & Mineral Processing Experience: 8–10 Years (Mandatory experience in Iron Ore Beneficiation, Mining, Pellet Plant, Steel Plant, or Mineral Processing Industry) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to lead procurement activities for our Iron Ore Beneficiation Plant. The candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor development, procurement planning, inventory optimization, contract negotiations, and ensuring uninterrupted availability of plant materials, spares, consumables, and services. Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for plant operations.
- Source and procure mechanical, electrical, mining, and beneficiation plant spares and consumables.
- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor network.
- Negotiate prices, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely procurement to avoid production downtime.
- Coordinate with Stores, Maintenance, Production, and Finance departments.
- Conduct comparative statement analysis and recommend cost-effective purchases.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement cost-control measures.
- Track market trends, pricing, and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and audit requirements.
- Prepare procurement MIS reports and monthly purchase analysis. Required Qualifications
- Graduate in Engineering / Commerce / Management.
- Additional qualification in Supply Chain or Materials Management preferred. Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience.
- At least 3 years in an Iron Ore Beneficiation Plant, Mining, Pellet Plant, Steel Plant, or similar mineral processing industry.
- Strong knowledge of industrial spares, consumables, and vendor management.
