Instrumentation Design Engineer (Bidhannagar)

Location: Kolkata Industry: Chemical / Oil & Petrochemical / Steel Experience Required: 6–12 Years Job Description: We are hiring an experienced Instrumentation Design Engineer for a reputed European MNC in Kolkata. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in industrial process control systems, plant automation, and instrumentation engineering for process industries. Key Responsibilities:
- Design & engineering of: Industrial Process Control Systems P&IDs; Plant Automation Systems, Communication, Systems
- Selection and sizing of: Instruments Control Valves Transmitters
- Other field instrumentation as per process requirements
- Preparation and review of: Loop Diagrams, Hook-up Diagrams, Cable Layout & Termination Drawings Automation Configurations Calculations
- Working on PLC/DCS systems and automation integration
- Coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams and clients
- Ensuring compliance with hazardous area standards and industrial safety requirements Requirements:
- BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical Engineering
- 6-12 years of experience in Instrumentation & Automation Design Engineering
- Experience in Chemical, Oil & Petrochemical, or Steel industries
- Solid knowledge of: PLC/DCS Systems, Process Instrumentation Industrial Automation, Hazardous Area Classification
- Good understanding of industrial communication systems and control philosophies Preferred Skills:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience in EPC / Industrial projects preferred
