Senior UI / Product Designer (Bidhannagar)

We are looking for a Senior UI / Product Designer to work on Startium and related SaaS platforms, including products such as Startium and eConX. This is not a pure visual design role. The right person should be comfortable designing and extending real software products used by clients, administrators, advisors, entrepreneurs, and support organisations. The role will involve improving existing product interfaces, designing new modules, creating original websites and landing pages when required, and working closely with developers, clients and internal teams. The candidate should be confident working with modern SaaS interfaces, preferably React-based front ends, and should also have enough WordPress knowledge to support marketing websites, content-led pages and client-facing web work. We are especially interested in someone who is comfortable using modern AI-assisted design tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Figma AI, v0, Framer, Relume, Uizard, or similar tools to speed up design exploration, UX thinking, content layout and prototyping. - Design, maintain, and improve interfaces for SaaS platforms such as Startium and eConX.
- Extend existing product design patterns without breaking consistency.
- Create clean, practical and user-friendly interfaces for dashboards, portals, admin panels, forms, workflows, reporting screens and user journeys.
- Work with developers to translate designs into React-based interfaces.
- Understand user roles, permissions, workflows, and edge cases before designing screens.
- Improve usability across desktop and mobile views.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs and developer-ready specifications. Client-facing work
- Join client calls to understand requirements, clarify workflows and present design options.
- Translate client feedback into practical design updates.
- Ask the right questions when client requirements are vague or incomplete.
- Help turn business requirements into clear user flows, screens, and product decisions.
- Communicate professionally with UK and India-based clients. Team leadership
- Guide junior designers, UI developers or content/design support staff.
- Review design work and maintain quality standards.
- Help build reusable design systems, UI components and documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, developers, and stakeholders to keep design work moving. Website and WordPress work
- Design original websites, landing pages, campaign pages and product pages where required.
- Work with WordPress themes, page builders and common CMS workflows.
- Understand basic SEO-friendly page structure, content hierarchy, and responsive layouts.
- Support marketing websites as well as product interface work. AI-assisted design workflow
- Use tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and similar AI design assistants to speed up research, wireframing, layout exploration, copy structure and prototyping.
- Be able to generate, critique, and refine design concepts using AI without blindly relying on it.
- Stay updated on modern UI tools, design automation and rapid prototyping workflows. Required experience
- 6+ years of experience in UI, UX or product design.
- Strong experience designing SaaS platforms, admin systems, dashboards, or complex web applications.
- Good understanding of React-style component-based interfaces.
- Strong Figma skills.
- Comfortable working with developers and understanding front-end constraints.
- Experience with WordPress websites, themes, page builders and content-managed sites.
- Ability to lead client conversations independently.
- Experience managing or mentoring other designers or UI team members.
- Robust written and spoken English.
- Ability to work with international clients, especially UK clients.
- Strong attention to detail in spacing, typography, hierarchy, interaction states and responsive behaviour. Good to have
- Experience designing for Laravel + React products.
- Familiarity with Tailwind, Bootstrap, Material UI, shadcn/ui, or similar UI systems.
- Experience with Framer, Webflow or no-code/low-code design tools.
- Experience designing multi-role portals, workflow systems, CRM-style platforms or reporting dashboards.
- Basic understanding of accessibility, design systems, and usability testing.
- Experience creating design documentation for developers.
- Experience with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, v0, Midjourney, Figma AI, Relume, Galileo or Uizard. What we are not looking for
- A pure graphic designer who only makes posters, banners or social media creatives.
- Someone who cannot understand software workflows.
- Someone who needs every screen explained in detail before starting.
- Someone who designs attractive mockups that developers cannot realistically build.
- Someone uncomfortable speaking directly with clients. Ideal candidate profile The ideal candidate is a senior designer who can look at an existing SaaS product, understand its structure, improve the user experience, keep the interface consistent, and work directly with both clients and developers. They should be equally comfortable redesigning a dashboard, improving a form-heavy workflow, creating a landing page, reviewing a junior designer’s work, or using Claude/Figma/AI tools to rapidly explore new interface ideas.
