Civil Design Engineer (Bidhannagar)

Location: Kolkata Industry: Infrastructure / Power / Metals & Metallurgy / Chemicals Experience Required: 6–12Years : We are hiring an experienced Design Engineer (Civil & Structural) for a reputed European MNC based in Kolkata. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in designing Steel & RCC structures and coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Designing Steel & RCC structures and foundations Preparing General Arrangement (GA) drawings for RCC & Steel structures from Mechanical / Electrical / Piping layout drawings
- Checking detailed drawings prepared from GA drawings
- Reviewing Bar Bending Schedule (BBS), material lists, and BOQ
- Preparing quantity estimates from available drawings
- Preparing area layout drawings including Roads, Drains, Pits, Traps, and other facilities
- Checking and vetting GA & detailed drawings of structures and foundations
- Reviewing survey drawings and utilizing them for layout preparation
- Attending client, consultant, and vendor meetings
- Coordinating with outsourced agencies for ongoing project execution
- Required SkillsStrong knowledge of RCC & Steel structural design
- Experience in industrial/infrastructure projects
- Expertise in AutoCAD and structural drafting/checking
- Positive understanding of BOQ, estimation, and layout planningStrong coordination and communication skills
