Senior Merchandiser Executive (Bidhannagar)

Job Overview We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Garments Merchandiser to manage garment orders from buyer inquiry to final shipment. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with buyers, suppliers, production teams, and quality departments to ensure orders are completed on time, within budget, and according to buyer requirements. Key Responsibilities1. Buyer Communication & Order Management
- Communicate with buyers regarding product requirements, order details, and delivery schedules.
- Act as the main point of contact between buyers and the production team.
- Handle order booking and ensure all order information is accurately recorded. 1. Product Development & Sampling
- Coordinate the development of garment samples based on buyer requirements.
- Follow up on sample approvals, including proto samples, fit samples, size set samples, and pre-production samples.
- Ensure buyer comments and revisions are properly implemented. 1. Costing & Sourcing
- Prepare garment costing based on fabric, trims, accessories, and production costs.
- Coordinate with suppliers for fabric, trims, and other materials.
- Negotiate prices and ensure cost-effective sourcing. 1. Production Follow-Up
- Monitor production progress and ensure orders are completed according to the approved timeline.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and planning teams to resolve any issues.
- Follow up regularly to avoid delays in manufacturing. 1. Quality Control & Shipment Coordination
- Ensure garments meet buyer specifications and quality standards.
- Address any quality or production-related concerns promptly.
- Coordinate shipment schedules and prepare required shipment documentation.
- Ensure timely delivery of finished goods to customers. 1. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of orders, samples, approvals, and production status.
- Ensure all buyer requirements and company procedures are followed.
- Prepare and update merchandising reports as required. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Textile, Merchandising, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Garments Merchandiser in the apparel or garment industry.
- Knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, fabrics, trims, and production planning.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Robust coordination, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders simultaneously. Job Type
