Desktop Support Engineer Bharuch

A Desktop Support Engineer provides technical assistance to end-users by installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices. The role ensures smooth IT operations by resolving hardware and software issues, managing updates, and maintaining system security. Acting as the first line of IT support, Desktop Support Engineers help employees stay productive by minimizing downtime and delivering reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues. Provide technical support via phone, email, or onsite visits. Manage operating system updates, patches, and antivirus protection. Set up user accounts, permissions, and access rights. Document support requests, resolutions, and escalate complex issues to senior IT staff. Ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Robust knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk is desirable. Certifications like CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are preferred.
