Website: Job Title: Search Platform Developer (Azure AI Search & GenAI) Job Location: India – Remote Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Developer specializing in Search technologies to support the modernization of an enterprise search platform. This role involves working closely with Product Owners and Technical Leads to enhance search capabilities, improve user experience, and enable efficient access to relevant, accurate, and timely information. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Azure AI Search, cloud-native development, and emerging GenAI capabilities to build scalable and intelligent search solutions. Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities: Search Platform Development & Enhancement
- Design, develop, and enhance enterprise search platform capabilities using Azure AI Search and related technologies.
- Implement improvements to search indexing, query performance, and relevance tuning.
- Integrate search functionality with various enterprise data sources and applications. Development & Testing
- Develop high-quality, scalable code using Python and other relevant technologies.
- Perform unit testing to ensure code quality, correctness, and maintainability.
- Validate functionality and performance of search features across different use cases. Deployment & Documentation
- Perform deployment activities across environments and document deployment processes clearly.
- Maintain technical documentation including architecture, workflows, and integration details. Collaboration & Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with Product Owners, Technical Leads, and cross-functional teams to align on requirements and deliverables.
- Coordinate effectively across business and technology teams to ensure smooth execution of tasks. Testing & Production Support
- Provide support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Offer production support including monitoring, issue resolution, and system stability improvements. Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Continuously improve search performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Stay updated with advancements in search technologies and GenAI-driven search enhancements. Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent with relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software development with strong exposure to search technologies. Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud technologies, including Azure AI Search.
- Strong proficiency in Python for backend development and data processing.
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB. Search & AI Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of search technologies including indexing, relevance tuning, ranking, and query optimization.
- Foundational knowledge of Generative AI and its applications in search and information retrieval. Additional Technical Skills:
- Experience or familiarity with Java is preferred.
- Understanding of cloud-native application architecture and microservices is a plus. Professional Skills:
