The role ensures innovation, process improvements, technical support, and mentoring of junior staff, while maintaining product consistency, quality, and market relevance.Key Responsibilities:Seasoning Development & InnovationDevelop new seasoning concepts based on trends and customer briefs.Create and optimize formulations across flavour systems.Conduct lab trials, sensory evaluations, and refine prototypes.Ensure functionality, cost, and regulatory compliance.Verify regulatory complianceLearning Ingredient Functionality & Cross-Functional Lab CoordinationStudy the role of each raw material used in seasoning systems—spices, flavour bases, hydrocolloids, and carriers.Participate in ingredient trials to understand flavour release, texture, and stability.Raw Material Evaluation and Cost OptimizationEvaluate spices, extracts, flavours and carriers;

propose cost-effectiveor higher-performance alternativescoordinate with suppliers for technical data work closely with QA, Purchase, Production and Sensory teams for ingredient sourcing, evaluationsDocumentationPrepare formulation sheets, COAs, and master recipes.Maintain accurate trial and NPD documentation.Document formulations and support scale-up with cross-functional teams.Document learnings on new ingredients, supplier innovations, and market trends.Continuous Learning & Skill DevelopmentStay updated with new ingredients, technologies, and industry trends through reading, supplier interactions, and internal trainings.Develop interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills necessary for collaborative NPD work.Exhibit curiosity, discipline, and accountability in daily lab activities.Ideal Candidate Profile:3+ years in Food R&D;

degree in Food Technology / Food ScienceStrong B2B exposure;

formulation & ingredient application expertiseCross-functional collaborator (Sales, QA, Production)Clear communicator;

solid analytical skills;
