- Raipur About Patient Counselor A patient counselor is a healthcare professional who helps patients and their families understand their medical conditions and treatment options. They also help patients address emotional and psychological challenges related to their health. Job Description
· Provide support: Help patients understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and potential outcomes
· Address emotional challenges: Help patients manage mental and emotional challenges, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma
· Educate patients: Explain the intensity of the disease, and educate patients about coping mechanisms
· Help patients make informed decisions: Ensure patients have the resources they need to make informed decisions about their health
· Coordinate with other healthcare professionals: Communicate with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
· Manage clinical care: Manage clinical care for assigned patients, including treatment plans
· Record patient progress: Record patient progress and adjust treatment plans when needed
· Help patients complete consent forms and paperwork
· Assist patients with investigations and follow-up appointments
· Help patients select the best treatment options
