Senior Project Manager (Internal Operations)

Location: Bhilai (In office) | Industry: Heavy Engineering (MTO)

The Mission

To bridge the gap between technical drawings and the dispatch bay. You will own the lifecycle of custom-engineered projects, ensuring that heavy steel structures and equipment flow efficiently through our fabrication, CNC machining, and assembly shops without bottlenecks.

Core Responsibilities

Production Synchronization: Convert "Make-to-Order" contracts into accurate workshop schedules, coordinating across Fabrication, Machining, and Assembly bays.

Critical Path Management: Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in material arrival (Logistics), drawing releases (Design), and stage clearances (Quality).

The "Internal Liaison": Act as the single point of truth between the shop floor and senior management—moving projects from BOM to Finished Goods.

Cost & Resource Stewardship: Monitor man-hours and material utilization per project to ensure engineering excellence remains profitable.

Expediting: Drive internal and vendor follow-ups to ensure long-lead components never stall a project’s final assembly.

Qualifications & DNA

Background: 12+ years in Heavy Engineering (Railways, Mining, Defence, Power etc.). You must speak the language of steel fabrication and CNC machining.

Technical Edge: Expertise in managing complex Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical specifications within an ERP/SAP workplace.

Leadership: A "hands-on" senior leader who spends as much time on the shop floor as they do in MS Project.
