TGT SST (Manesar)

A Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) for Social Science (SST) is responsible for teaching History, Geography, Civics, and Economics to middle and secondary students. Their core duties include developing interactive lesson plans, ensuring curriculum compliance, assessing student progress, and fostering critical thinking regarding society and civic responsibilities. Core Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Instruct students (typically in Classes 6 to 10) in an interdisciplinary approach. Break down complex topics into transparent, engaging lessons.
- Lesson Planning: Develop daily, weekly, and annual lesson plans aligned with educational boards like CBSE, ICSE, or State Boards.
- Assessments: Create question papers, conduct quizzes, and evaluate assignments, projects, and term exams to track student understanding.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment where students feel encouraged to participate and debate.
- Parental Communication: Regularly update parents on student progress and participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
- Extracurricular Activities: Mentor students in related school events, including debates, model United Nations, and historical or geographical exhibitions. Standard Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in relevant Social Science subjects (History, Geography, Political Science, Economics) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree.
- Certifications: Passing the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) or State TET is highly preferred, and often mandated in public/government schools.
