Purpose/Objective Asst. Manager
- CHP Commissioning will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing the commissioning activities of the Captive Heat Power (CHP) plant within Adani’s power and energy division. This position demands a technically proficient, detail-oriented professional who aligns with Adani’s commitment to operational excellence, safety, sustainability, and innovation. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless start-up and optimization of CHP systems, contributing to efficient and reliable power generation. Key Responsibilities of Role Managing all commissioning activities related to the CHP plant, ensuring that all systems and components function according to design specifications and operational standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Commissioning Planning and Execution: Develop detailed commissioning plans and schedules in coordination with project management and engineering teams to ensure timely completion of CHP commissioning milestones.
- Technical Supervision: Oversee mechanical, electrical, and control system testing to validate the integrity, safety, and performance of CHP equipment including boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Analyze commissioning data to identify issues, implement corrective actions, and optimize system performance to achieve operational efficiency targets.
- Coordination and Communication: Act as a liaison between design engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate problem resolution and ensure smooth commissioning progress.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce Adani’s stringent safety protocols and environmental regulations throughout all commissioning activities to maintain a safe working environment.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive commissioning reports, technical documentation, and performance records for regulatory compliance and future reference.
- Training and Development: Support the training of operations personnel on new CHP systems and procedures to guarantee seamless handover and sustained operational reliability.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify process improvements and implement best practices in commissioning methodologies consistent with Adani’s culture of innovation and excellence.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with various stakeholders including vendors, consultants, and internal departments to ensure alignment with project goals and company standards. Technical Competencies In-depth knowledge of CHP plant systems including boilers, steam turbines, electrical generators, and auxiliary equipment. ,Proficiency in commissioning processes, procedures, and best practices. ,Familiarity with SCADA/DCS systems for monitoring and control. ,Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineering principles. ,Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs;, and equipment specifications. Qualifications and Experience Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in commissioning and operation within the power/energy sector, specifically in CHP plants, thermal power stations, or equivalent.
