Job Title VMC Machine Operator Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented VMC Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines for precision manufacturing operations. The candidate should be able to read engineering drawings, monitor machining processes, and ensure production quality standards are met. Key Responsibilities
- Operate VMC/CNC machines according to production requirements
- Load and unload raw materials and finished components
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders
- Set machine parameters, tools, and offsets
- Monitor machining operations to ensure accuracy and quality
- Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning
- Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Identify and troubleshoot minor machine issues
- Maintain production records and reports
- Follow workplace safety and quality procedures Required Skills
- Knowledge of CNC/VMC machine operations
- Understanding of G-code and M-code basics
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Familiarity with measuring instruments
