Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end proposal preparation for liquid ring vacuum pumps, Liquid ring compressors, blowers, and other engineered system-based solutions for PFT division of IR.Review RFQs, customer specifications, process data sheets, and technical requirements. Develop technically optimized and competitive proposals including sizing, selection, system configuration, BOQs, costing, and techno-commercial offer preparation. Ensure proposals comply with applicable standards (API, ASME, ATEX, ISO, customer-specific standards).Analyze customer processes across industries and recommend optimal vacuum/blower solutions. Perform pump/system selection using selection tools, performance curves, and engineering calculations. Provide pre-order engineering support such as PFDs, preliminary P&IDs, GA inputs, and utility requirements. Manage and mentor a team of application engineers and proposal specialists Support regional sales with technical clarifications, presentations, and negotiations. Ensure proposal margin discipline and alignment with business profitability targets. Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical / chemical engineering. Min. 12–15 years of experience in application engineering, proposals, or system engineering for vacuum pumps or rotating equipment(s)&engineered packages/systems. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of Vacuum Technology, Rotary equipments, engineered Rotary packages Ability to read, interpret P&IDs, datasheets, and perform Heat, Mass Transfer&Pressure drop calculations. Engineering standards (API, ASME, ATEX, ISO, customer-specific standards). Proficiency with Application/Simulation softwares like Chemcad, ASPEN, and MS Office. Behavioral Competencies Strong leadership and people-management skills to coach and develop Application team.Excellent communication and customer-facing ability. High attention to detail and analytical capability. Travel&Work Arrangements/Requirements Fully office based, 25% travel across India. KPIs / Success Measures Proposal turnaround time. Win rate and profitability. Accuracy of costing and scope clarity. Reduction in rework and handover quality.
