job Description: Business Development Manager– Retail Expansion Company: Chemist Box Private Limited Position: Business Development Manager – Retail Expansion Department: Business Development Location: Patna / Bihar About Chemist Box Private Limited Chemist Box Private Limited is a growing multi-outlet retail pharmacy chain based in Bihar, currently operating around 20–24 physical stores with a strong expansion plan.Role Summary The Business Development Manager– Retail Expansion will be responsible for identifying and finalizing suitable retail locations for new Chemist Box stores. The role will focus on location exploring, site evaluation, landlord / broker coordination, rental negotiation, and supporting timely store expansion in targeted locations.Key Responsibilities Identify and evaluate potential store locations in high streets, markets, standalone properties, and other suitable retail areas. Conduct basic market study, including customer footfall, competition, locality potential, rental value, and business feasibility. Coordinate with brokers, landlords, property owners, and internal teams for site visits, documentation, and approvals.Negotiate rent, lease terms, deposit, lock-in period, and other commercial terms for suitable locations. Qualification&Experience Graduate and above in any stream. Candidate should have 2–3 years of experience in retail expansion, business development, real estate acquisition, leasing, or location scouting. Requirements Required Skills Good understanding of retail locations, local markets, and customer catchment areasStrong negotiation and communication skills Basic Excel, reporting, documentation, and presentation skills Willingness to travel frequently across Bihar for site visits KPIs / Performance Metrics Number of suitable new locations identified and finalized Timely coordination for site approval and handoverSupport in achieving planned store expansion targets Benefits Remuneration Fixed salary: INR 6 lakhs per annum and above, as per experience and industry standard Variable incentives: Performance-based variable incentives Additional benefits: PF and other applicable perks
