Role: Senior OpenShift Platform Engineer Experience: 8+ Years

About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior OpenShift Platform Engineer with extensive hands‑on experience in deploying and managing IBM Sterling components on OpenShift in an on‑premise setting. This role requires deep understanding of Sterling Integrator (SI), SSP, SEAS, and ITX deployments on containerized platforms, along with strong expertise in enterprise databases such as DB2 and Microsoft SQL, preferably within Azure ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, deployment, configuration, and management of IBM Sterling Integrator (SI) and associated components (SSP, SEAS, ITX) on Red Hat OpenShift (On-Prem).
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for Sterling application deployments using OpenShift operators, Helm charts, or custom pipelines.
- Optimize and troubleshoot OpenShift clusters, including networking, storage, security, and resource tuning.
- Manage on-prem container platform lifecycle activities, including upgrades, patching, monitoring, logging, and performance tuning.
- Configure and maintain databases including DB2, MS SQL, and database components deployed on OpenShift.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (infrastructure, security, app engineering, DBAs) to ensure seamless platform integration and operations.
- Drive improvements in platform reliability, scalability, security posture, and deployment automation.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment guidelines, and architectural diagrams.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across Sterling applications, containers, OpenShift platform, and backend database systems.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or container orchestration.
- Proven hands-on experience in deploying and managing IBM Sterling components (SI, SSP, SEAS, ITX) on OpenShift in on-premise environments.
