We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Professional Coder (CPC) to join our team and support efficient revenue cycle management. Position OverviewThe laboratory coding specialist is responsible for reviewing and accurately assigning medical codes to laboratory test results. This role ensures proper billing and compliance with healthcare regulations by analyzing patient records and applying correct ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes. The position also involves collaborating with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure accurate reimbursement. Key Responsibilities Medical Record ReviewAnalyze laboratory reports, patient demographics, and clinical data to extract relevant coding information. Code AssignmentAssign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on laboratory procedures and established guidelines. Quality ControlPerform audits to ensure coding accuracy and resolve discrepancies. ComplianceStay updated with coding regulations and payer-specific requirements to maintain compliant billing practices. Data EntryEnter coded data into EHR systems while ensuring accuracy and timely claim submission. CollaborationWork closely with lab technicians, physicians, and billing teams to clarify coding-related queries. Coding ResearchUse coding manuals and tools to resolve complex coding issues and stay updated with industry changes.
