Assistant Manager Mines Bilaspur

Purpose/Objective To assist the Mines Manager in planning, organizing, and supervising mining operations to ensure secure, efficient, and cost-effective extraction of minerals in compliance with statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Key Responsibilities 1.

Mine Operations Management
- Assist in the execution of daily mining operations including drilling, blasting, excavation, and transportation. Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and resources.

Monitor production targets and ensure achievement as per mine plan. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to DGMS guidelines, Mines Act, and other statutory regulations.

Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.

Implement safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture at site.

Ensure proper use of PPE and secure working practices among workers. Planning & Coordination
- Support short-term and long-term mine planning activities.

Coordinate with geology, mechanical, and production teams for smooth operations.

Assist in preparation of production schedules and reports. Blasting & Drilling Oversight
- Supervise drilling and blasting activities as per approved designs.

Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of explosives.

Monitor blast performance and optimize results. Resource & Equipment Management
- Ensure proper deployment and maintenance of mining equipment.

Monitor equipment productivity and reduce downtime.

Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repairs. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain statutory records, logbooks, and compliance reports.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and safety reports.

Assist in audits and inspections by regulatory authorities. Team Management
- Supervise and guide supervisors, operators, and contract workforce.

Ensure training and development of team members.

Maintain discipline and productivity at site.

Technical Competencies Exposure to SAP/ERP systems,Regulatory compliance adherence,Robust understanding of mining safety regulations

Qualifications and Experience

B.

Tech in mining / Diploma in mining & 3+ years of experience in mining.
