New Product Development (NPD) Manager (Sanjaynagar)

Key Responsibilities : Experience : 5-7 years 1. Product Strategy & Innovation
- Define and own the product development roadmap aligned with overall brand strategy and business objectives.
- Identify white spaces and innovation opportunities across skincare, personal care, and cosmetic categories.
- Drive the development of unique formulations, actives, textures, sensorial profiles, and product claims.
- Benchmark global and local brands to ensure products meet or exceed international standards. 2. Formulation & Development Leadership
- Oversee formulation development from concept to commercialization.
- Guide teams on ingredient selection, efficacy, safety, and sensorial performance.
- Review and approve formulations, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Address and resolve complex formulation and scale-up challenges. 3. Testing, Safety & Quality
- Ensure all products undergo required stability, safety, compatibility, and performance testing.
- Oversee dermatological testing, claims substantiation, and consumer trials.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain consistent product quality post-launch. 4. Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Indian cosmetic regulations (CDSCO, BIS) and applicable international standards.
- Approve ingredient lists, labels, product claims, and regulatory documentation.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and proactively adapt formulations and processes. 5. Manufacturing & Scale-Up
- Lead collaboration with contract manufacturers, laboratories, and raw material suppliers.
- Oversee pilot batches, technology transfer, and commercial scale-up.
- Ensure manufacturability, cost optimization, and supply continuity without compromising product integrity. 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Brand, Packaging, Supply Chain, and Sales teams.
- Translate consumer insights and marketing briefs into technically feasible product solutions.
- Support go-to-market strategies with strong technical inputs and validated product claims. 7. Team Building & Leadership
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing R&D; and product development team.
- Establish best-in-class R&D; processes, documentation standards, and governance frameworks.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and scientific excellence. 8. Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in cosmetics or personal care product development.
- Proven track record of leading multiple successful product launches.
- Solid exposure to contract manufacturing and scale-up processes.
- Experience in premium, dermo cosmetic, or clean beauty brands is preferred. 9. Key Skills & Competencies
- Deep expertise in cosmetic formulation science.
- Strong understanding of regulatory, safety, and quality frameworks.
- Strategic thinking with strong execution capabilities.
- Ability to balance innovation with commercial viability.
