We need a mechanical engineer who can take a photobioreactor from sketch to steel. Today we run 1 kL to 10 kL systems. The roadmap is 500x bigger. You'll own the design, the drawings, the procurement, and the EPC supervision that turns it all into operating plants.

If you like watching your CAD become something you can walk through on a plant floor, this is your job. What you'll own Design. End-to-end mechanical design of tubular PMMA photobioreactors. 3D models, GA drawings, support structures, pipe racks, skid layouts.

FEA on the parts that matter. Digital twins to de-risk scale-up. Execution. Own mechanical from FEED through commissioning. Supervise EPC contractors. Run FATs. Manage the civil-mechanical interface. Hit 95%+ uptime post-handover.

Procurement. Lead requirement generation. PRs, techno-commercial bid evaluations, Approved Vendor List, delivery dashboards. Quality & safety.

Standards and ISO compliance. ITPs, WPS, MTCs. HAZOP, SOPs, preventive maintenance schedules. Innovation. Joint design work with partners. Translate biology requirements into mechanical constraints. Help the Founder's Office document novel IP.

Engineering skills we need Robust: Autodesk Inventor or Fusion for 3D modeling, assemblies, drawings AutoCAD for 2D drafting, P&IDs;, GA drawings Piping design, stress analysis concepts, equipment layout EPC contractor supervision, hands-on project execution BOQ and BOM generation FEA on support structures and pressure components HAZOP and risk-based engineering Nice to have: Specialty polymer equipment or pipework Chemical reactors, bioreactors, fermentation vessels Pipe stress analysis software and CFD tools SCADA/PLC from the mechanical interface side IoT-based predictive maintenance or condition monitoring PMP or formal project engineering credential Who you are
- 5–8 years in mechanical design and project execution B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a solid school. M.Tech is a plus Personally executed at least one plant or skid from drawing to commissioning. Not a CAD jockey Comfortable on site for a week at a time, coordinating with civil, electrical, and process teams Detail-obsessed in documentation.
