Proposal Engineer – Data Center Power Solutions (DG Systems) Location: BTM Layout, Bengaluru Experience Required: 3–8 Years CTC: ₹7 – ₹10 LPA Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Critical Power Infrastructure / Data Centers / DG Systems About the Role We are looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented Proposal Engineer to support techno-commercial bidding and proposal activities for Diesel Generator (DG) Set projects in mission-critical Data Center environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in proposal engineering, tendering, costing, and technical coordination for critical power systems, DG solutions, or large infrastructure/EPC projects. Exposure to Data Center backup power systems and international bidding processes will be a solid advantage. This role requires close coordination with sales, engineering, procurement, and project execution teams to develop technically compliant and commercially competitive proposals. Key ResponsibilitiesProposal & Tendering
- Review RFQs, RFPs, tender documents, technical specifications, and commercial requirements
- Prepare complete techno-commercial proposals within defined timelines
- Develop compliance matrices, technical deviations, bid summaries, and clarification documents
- Support internal bid review and approval processes
- Ensure proposal submissions are technically accurate and commercially competitive Technical Proposal Engineering
- Prepare technical proposals for:
- Diesel Generator Sets
- MV/LV Electrical Systems
- Generator Synchronization & Paralleling Systems
- Fuel Storage & Fuel Management Systems
- Acoustic Enclosures & Exhaust Systems
- Containerized / Modular Power Solutions
- SCADA/BMS/DCIM Integration
- Coordinate with engineering teams for:
- Load calculations
- SLD reviews
- Equipment selection
- Redundancy configurations (N+1 / 2N)
- Ensure compliance with applicable international standards and project specifications Commercial & Costing Support
- Prepare cost estimates, pricing sheets, and commercial summaries
- Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and subcontractors for quotations
- Conduct techno-commercial evaluation of vendor offers
- Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Project teams
- Participate in technical discussions, bid clarification meetings, and customer interactions
- Maintain bid trackers, proposal documentation, and version control records Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Power Engineering
- or related discipline
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in:
- Proposal Engineering
- Bid Management
- DG Systems
- Critical Power Infrastructure
- EPC / Industrial Power Projects Preferred Experience Candidates with exposure to the following will be preferred:
- Data Center backup power systems
- DG OEMs or EPC contractors
- Generator synchronization systems
- Mission-critical infrastructure projects
- International tendering and global project environments Technical Skills Strong understanding of:
