AI Engineer - Gen AI & Agentic Systems (BTM Layout)

Role Overview We are seeking an AI Engineer (2–3 years experience) to design and build AI agents, AI automation, and intelligent workflows using Large Language Models (LLMs). You will build AI agents for internal automation, enterprise knowledge search, decision support, and customer-facing AI copilots. This role requires strong hands-on execution with agentic frameworks, RAG systems, and production-grade AI solutions, along with the ability to own features and guide junior team members. You’ll work within a growing AI engineering team and collaborate closely with product and platform teams to deliver impactful AI-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities (Core Only)
- Design, build, and deploy AI agents and multi-agent workflows
- Develop AI automation pipelines using LLMs, tools, and APIs
- Build and optimize RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems
- Integrate and manage LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, open-source models)
- Develop production-ready backend APIs using Python (FastAPI / Flask)
- Monitor and optimize AI systems for quality, latency, and cost
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure clean, scalable implementations Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, or related field
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in AI / ML or Generative AI engineering
- Proven experience building LLM-based applications, AI agents, or RAG systems
- Robust understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings, and evaluation
- Experience taking AI solutions from prototype to production Must-Have Skills
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Practical experience with LangChain (agents, tools, memory, retrievers)
- Experience building RAG systems using vector databases like FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, etc.
- Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, HuggingFace)
- Solid understanding of AI agents, function calling, and workflows
- Experience building scalable AI services and APIs Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with LlamaIndex, LangGraph, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel
- Fine-tuning or serving open-source LLMs (LLaMA, Mistral, Falcon)
- Knowledge of PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Experience with MLOps / LLMOps (CI/CD, deployment, monitoring)
- Cloud platforms: Azure / AWS / GCP
- Experience with AI copilots or enterprise chatbots
- Cost optimization for LLM-based systems
