Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Field Services Engineer role based in Chitradurga.
The Field Services
Engineer will perform routine and corrective maintenance on wind turbines and associated equipment, including inspections, mechanical adjustments, component replacements, and system calibrations. The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and control system issues, and providing timely technical support at the turbine site. The engineer will document all service activities, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. The position also requires engaging with customers on-site, addressing basic service-related queries, and coordinating with internal teams to support smooth operations.
Qualifications Robust field service and on-site operations skills, including working at height and in varying weather conditions. Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical support for mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Experience with preventive maintenance practices for rotating equipment, turbines, or similar industrial assets. Effective customer service abilities, including clear communication and skilled interaction with clients and stakeholders. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience. Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance standards relevant to wind or industrial environments; familiarity with lockout/tagout is an advantage. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation; basic computer literacy for reporting and documentation.
