They oversee the entire product lifecycle—from initial sketches and material selection to 3D modeling, prototyping, and final production.Core ResponsibilitiesConcept & Ideation: Develop design concepts, mood boards, and seasonal themes in line with brand identity and market trends.Drafting & Modeling: Create accurate 2D technical drawings, cut lists, and 3D models using CAD software.Material Selection: Choose optimal fabrics, woods, metals, and hardware while balancing cost, ergonomics, and structural durability.Prototyping: Build and test initial prototypes for comfort, wear-and-tear, and manufacturability.Production Oversight: Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing teams, and craftsmen to troubleshoot issues and ensure quality standards.Trend Analysis: Monitor domestic and international interior trends to stay ahead of market demands.Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation: Degree or Diploma in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Product Design, or Interior Architecture.Technical Software: Proficiency in programs such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or Rhinoceros.Manufacturing Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction techniques, joinery, and manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC cutting, sheet metal bending, upholstery).Soft Skills: Solid spatial awareness, excellent communication, and the ability to work cross-functionally with sales and marketing teams.
