(SHM Group) Position Summary SHM Group is looking for a highly motivated and analytical Data Analytics Intern to support business intelligence, MIS reporting, operational analytics, and data-driven decision-making across multiple divisions and global locations. The intern will work closely with finance, operations, HR, procurement, inventory, and leadership teams to analyze business data, create dashboards, identify trends, and support automation and reporting initiatives. This role offers excellent exposure to real-time business analytics within a large multi-division maritime and manufacturing organization. Key ResponsibilitiesData Collection & Analysis
- Collect, clean, validate, and analyze business data from multiple departments and branches.
- Work on large datasets related to:
- Finance & Accounts
- Inventory
- Procurement
- HR
- Sales & Operations
- Manufacturing & Ship Repair
- Identify trends, variances, operational gaps, and business insights. MIS & Dashboard Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Create interactive dashboards
- Support management reporting for various business divisions. Business Intelligence Support
- Assist in preparing:-
- Revenue analysis
- Branch-wise performance reports
- Inventory analytics
- Vendor and procurement analytics
- HR analytics
- Operational KPI reports
- Support data visualization and management presentations. Data Automation & Process Improvement
- Help automate manual reports and repetitive processes.
- Improve reporting accuracy and turnaround time.
- Support ERP and data integration initiatives. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with multiple departments and branch teams for data gathering and validation.
- Ensure timely reporting and accuracy of business information. Desired Candidate ProfileEducational Qualification
- Pursuing or recently completed:
- B.Sc / BCA / BBA / B.Com
- BE / B.Tech
- MBA (Business Analytics / Finance / Operations)
- PGDM / Data Analytics Certification Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Positive analytical and problem-solving ability
- Understanding of dashboards and data visualization
- Basic understanding of statistics and business reporting
