Job Summary: We are seeking an immediate-joining Electrical Design Engineer with 2-3 years of experience in LT & HT electrical panel manufacturing. This role involves the comprehensive design and development of electrical panels, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, industry standards, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Panel Design: Design and develop electrical control panels (LT & HT) including General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), schematic diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
- Component Selection: Select appropriate electrical components (e.g., switchgear, circuit breakers, relays, contactors, busbars) based on project specifications, industry standards, and cost-effectiveness.
- Calculations & Analysis: Perform necessary electrical calculations (e.g., busbar sizing, cable sizing, voltage drop, heat dissipation) to ensure design integrity and compliance.
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOMs), technical specifications, and other design documentation.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical) for design, drafting, and layout of electrical panels.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams including project management, production, and testing to ensure seamless design implementation and resolve technical queries.
- Standards & Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant national and international electrical standards and safety regulations.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support during manufacturing, testing, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical panel design.
Requirements Requirements:
- Education: Diploma / B.E. in Electrical Engineering
- Experience: 2–3 years in panel design or electrical enclosure fabrication
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Electrical CAD Software: Mandatory experience with AutoCAD Electrical. Knowledge of EPLAN Electric P8 or similar tools is a plus.
- Panel Design & Layout: Strong understanding of General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), schematics, and wiring diagram creation for LT & HT panels.
- Electrical Components: In-depth knowledge of switchgear (MCBs, MCCBs, ACBs, VCBs), contactors, relays, PLCs, VFDs, protection devices, and control components.
- Electrical Calculations: Ability to perform calculations for current ratings, voltage drop, power factor correction, short circuit analysis, and heat dissipation.
- Busbar & Cable Sizing: Expertise in sizing busbars and cables as per load requirements and standards.
- Indian & International Standards: Familiarity with relevant electrical standards such as IS, IEC, IEEE.
- Troubleshooting & Testing: Basic understanding of panel testing procedures and troubleshooting.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Proficient in Excel for BOM generation and data management.
