Job Description
Responsibilities
Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets, adhering to local accounting standards and practices in Chennai.
Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, reconcile vendor statements, and manage vendor relationships, considering local supplier payment norms.
Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate and send invoices to customers, track payments, follow up on outstanding balances, and manage collections, understanding local payment cycles.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances and identify any discrepancies, adhering to local banking procedures.
General Ledger Accounting: Prepare and post journal entries, maintain chart of accounts, and ensure the integrity of the general ledger.

Skills
Knowledge of Accounting Principles: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Experience in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Bank Reconciliation: Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations.
General Ledger Knowledge: Understanding of general ledger accounting and journal entries.
