Role Description This is a full time, on-site Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role based in Kochi. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will lead the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and complete machines from concept to production. Responsibilities include preparing detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, selecting materials and components, and performing basic engineering calculations for strength, tolerance, and reliability. The role involves collaborating with production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to safety and industry standards. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will review and improve existing designs, support prototype build and testing, troubleshoot design issues on the shop floor, and mentor junior engineers and designers. Regular interaction with internal stakeholders and, when needed, customers will be required to understand requirements, clarify specifications, and incorporate feedback into design updates. Qualifications Strong foundation in core Mechanical Engineering and applied mechanics, with experience in industrial or machinery applications. Proficiency in Design Engineering and Machine Design, including sizing of components, material selection, tolerance analysis, and manufacturability considerations.
