Production Chemist (India)

Job Title : Production Chemist Location : GIDC, Vapi Qualification : BSc/MSc Chemistry & BE/Diploma Chemical Key Responsibilities Batch Execution & Monitoring: Charge raw materials into reactors and monitor critical parameters (temperature, pressure, pH, and flow rates) exactly as specified in the Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR).Shift & Manpower Management: Allocate tasks to plant operators and contract workers during the shift. Ensure optimal work distribution and maintain high housekeeping standards on the shop floor.In-Process Quality Control: Draw in-process samples and coordinate closely with the Quality Control (QC) laboratory for quick analysis to minimize downtime between batch stages.Safety & Compliance (EHS): Strictly enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) among floor staff. Monitor and manage hazardous chemical handling, storage, and waste disposal according to safety protocols. Documentation: Accurately fill out and maintain standard plant documentation, including BMRs, logbooks, cleaning checklists, and equipment calibration records.Inter-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate with the Warehouse for timely raw material issuance and with Maintenance to handle routine equipment line-ups, valve checks, or breakdowns.
