Production Planning & Control Engineer (India)

Job Purpose: To ensure smooth and efficient production by planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities for the Enamel and PICC departments. This role ensures optimal resource utilization, adherence to timelines, and alignment with customer delivery requirements. Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Planning & Scheduling -


- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production plans for Enamel and PICC lines based on customer orders, sales forecasts, and inventory levels.
- Allocate resources (raw materials, manpower, machines) efficiently to meet production targets.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Dispatch team to understand priority orders and align production accordingly. 2. Material Management -


- Coordinate with the stores and purchase team to ensure timely availability of raw materials like copper rods, enamel, and insulation papers.
- Monitor consumption patterns and manage buffer stocks to avoid production stoppages. 3. Shop Floor Coordination -


- Communicate the daily production plan to the shop floor team and follow up on execution.
- Monitor production progress and ensure adherence to plan and quality standards.
- Address and resolve production bottlenecks or delays in real-time. 4. Data Management & Reporting -


- Maintain accurate records of production outputs, downtime, and rejections.
- Generate MIS reports for production performance, capacity utilization, and plan adherence.
- Analyse variances and implement corrective actions. 5. Process Improvement -


- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, waste elimination, and process optimization.
- Collaborate with QA and maintenance teams to ensure continuous improvement. 6. Coordination & Communication -


- Coordinate with inter-department teams (Sales, Quality, Maintenance, Dispatch, Stores) for smooth workflow.
- Attend daily review meetings and present PPC updates. Qualification Required: Diploma/BE
- Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and other relevant Qualification Experience required: 5
- 7 years in Wire and cable manufacturing Industry, Process Industry Key Skills & Competencies: -


- Strong knowledge of Production Planning tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
- Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
