We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Site Engineer to oversee our construction sites and ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget. Key Responsibilities:
- Site Supervision: Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring that the project is progressing according to plan and timelines.
- Quality Control: Ensure all construction activities meet the required quality standards and comply with safety regulations.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with architects, interior designers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of design and construction plans.
- Resource Management: Supervise the allocation of materials, tools, and labor to ensure the site runs efficiently.
- Scheduling: Coordinate and manage site schedules, ensuring that all activities are carried out as per the project timelines and deadlines.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues or delays on site, whether related to materials, labor, or unforeseen challenges.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all site operations are conducted following health and safety regulations, minimizing risks and accidents.
- Client Liaison: Liaise with clients during site visits to update them on project progress and address any concerns or changes.
- Cost Control: Monitor the project’s budget and manage any cost deviations, reporting on expenses and suggesting cost-effective solutions when necessary.
- Site Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily site activities, progress reports, and site meetings.
- Inspection & Testing: Conduct regular site inspections, materials testing, and evaluations to ensure construction quality and compliance with building codes.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Ensure smooth communication between various teams such as construction workers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders. Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction or site engineering, preferably in interior design or building projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in construction management software, AutoCAD, and other engineering design tools.
- Knowledge of Building Codes: Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and construction standards.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills to oversee on-site personnel and ensure optimal performance.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to identify and resolve construction challenges in a timely and effective manner.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and the team.
- Time Management: Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Preferred Skills:
- Project Management Exposure: Experience in managing or assisting with project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Safety Certifications: Familiarity with safety training and certifications (e.g., OSHA).
- Sustainability Knowledge: Experience with sustainable construction practices and green building certifications.
