Position: Blood Bank Staff Nurse

Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Responsibilities:

1. Administer blood and blood products to patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.

2. Monitor and assess patients during and after blood transfusions, identifying and addressing any adverse reactions promptly.

3. Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure accurate blood typing, cross-matching, and proper storage of blood products.

4. Maintain detailed and accurate records of blood donations, transfusions, and inventory levels.

5. Educate patients and their families on the importance of blood donations and the transfusion process.

6. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a sterile and secure blood bank environment.

7. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry best practices.

Qualifications:

1. Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tamilnadu.

2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a nurse, with specific experience in a blood bank or transfusion services preferred.

3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

6. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

7. Ability to handle stressful situations with composure and professionalism.
