Chewing Machine Maintenance, Coimbatore

Job Summary:
Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of chewing machines used in garment/textile processing to ensure smooth operation, minimal downtime, and extended machine life.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance of chewing machines.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.

Monitor machine performance and identify potential problems.

Maintain proper records of machine servicing, breakdowns, and parts used.

Replace worn-out or faulty components with approved spares.

Ensure machines operate at optimal efficiency with minimal interruptions.

Adhere to safety protocols and maintenance standards.

Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities.

Report major issues or breakdowns to supervisors promptly.

Keep maintenance tools and work areas clean and organized.

Requirements:
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

2-5 years of experience in machine maintenance, preferably in garment/textile industry.

Knowledge of chewing machine components and functioning.

Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.

Good problem-solving and mechanical skills.

Awareness of safety regulations and PPE usage.

Working Conditions:
Factory floor-based work.

May involve shift duties and extended hours during breakdowns
