Greetings, Open Position: Accounts Assistant Budget: upto 5-6lpa Location: Nariman Point, Mumbai Employment Type: Full-Time (6 Days a Week) Role Overview We are looking for a diligent and proactive Accounts Assistant to support the accounting and finance team in day-to-day administrative and operational activities. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements, and will play a critical support role in ensuring timely payments, accurate documentation, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Administrative support to the accounting team including data entry, document filing, and organizing records. Payment Processing: Prepare and initiate online bank payments for vendors, service providers, and reimbursements. Banking Tasks: Visit banks for deposits, cheque submissions, and document handling as required. Follow-ups: Liaise and follow up with senior accountants, auditors, chartered accountants, and vendors for invoices, payment confirmations, reconciliations, and statutory filings. Bookkeeping Assistance: Support in recording day-to-day financial transactions, journal entries, and ledger maintenance. Basic Financial Analysis: Assist in reviewing and organizing P&L; accounts, cash flow statements, and balance sheets under guidance. Invoice & Receipt Management: Assist in issuing and recording invoices, receipts, and maintaining accurate records of transactions. Petty Cash Management: Track and report petty cash expenses and reconcile regularly. Document Coordination: Handle coordination for financial documentation such as GST filings, TDS certificates, and other statutory requirements. Vendor Management: Maintain updated records of vendor payments and track outstanding dues. Expense Tracking: Maintain logs for employee reimbursements and monthly department budgets. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field. 1
- 3 years of experience in an accounting or administrative role preferred. Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Familiarity with basic financial statements (P&L;, cash flow, balance sheet). Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, or similar). Solid organizational and multitasking abilities. Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi. Willingness to travel locally for banking or vendor coordination.
